Mold is a serious issue.

Mold can cause sinus issues

Please consider this a Public Service Announcement. If you or your family members (that includes pets) aren’t feeling well around the home, coughing, wheezing or just not feeling right; look at your carpet (if you still have any).

When you don’t have carpet and you’re 100% positive you regularly change your A/C filter, start looking for MOLD.

We live in FLORIDA.. It;s HOT and HUMID. As a real estate broker, any home I sell, no matter the age, there must be MOLD ADDENDUM included.

The smallest roof leak, or crack in a window seal, or crack in an exterior wall, can lead to horrendous problems.  In the right conditions, dangerous mold spores can begin to grow within 24 to 48 hours on a variety of household surfaces.  Sometimes, mold is visible.  Sometimes, it can grow in side walls, ceilings and under floors.

It’s easy to become sick from mold.  Few people ever suspect mold and by the time it’s discovered, it can be too late and serious respiratory damage may have occurred.  Many times, people never suspect the horrible feelings they have with breathing come for mold.

This stuff is serious.  It can cause life-long damage to young children; it can create endless sneezing, rashes and sleepless nights for adults.  Even household pets can become affected.  Don’t think that it’s always something you can smell, either.  The serious kind can be odorless and be the worst threat of all.

At the first sign of water in odd places, or anything resembling dark spots, be cautious.

If you have inexplicable breathing difficulty, hire a mold inspector. It’s a few hundred dollars to protect your health.  If you don’t know who to call, contact us and we’ll make a few recommendations for inspectors.
